Post Market Summary and Trades Update 25.03.2022

Post Market Summary:

  1. In the face of mixed global cues, Indian benchmark equity indices closed lower on Friday, pulled down by selling in IT, auto, pharma, and FMCG firms.
  2. The market recovers late in the day to close near flat.
  3. The Sensex dropped 233.48 points (0.41 percent) to 57,362.20.
  4. The Nifty closed the day at 17,153, down 69.75 points, or 0.40 percent, from its previous close.
  5. The BankNifty closed the day at 35,410.10, down 117.00 points, or 0.33 percent, from its previous close.
  6. Selling pressure was also seen in broader markets, midcap and smallcap indices.
  7. During the week, more than 60% of equities declined.
  8. Nifty Media rallied over 7% to finish the week as the top sector, while Nifty Metal gained over 5% to close the week in positive territory for the third time in four weeks.
  9. The top Nifty50 losers were Titan Company, Tech Mahindra, Maruti, and IOC.
  10. The top index gainers were Baja-Auto, Adani Ports, Sbi Bank, Reliance, and Asian Paint.
  11. FII Sold for Rs. -1507.37 crore today, while DII bought for Rs. 1373.02 crore.

Trades Update 25.03.2022

Today I have taken 4 trades in Intraday:

Trade 1:

Buy NIFTY MARCH 17100 PE for Rs. 149.20 at 09:35 AM.

I Sold the above 17100 PE for Rs. 131.15 at 09:52 PM

I made a loss of Rs. 903 in this trade.

Trade 2:

Sold NIFTY MARCH 17200 CE for Rs. 200.45 at 09:36 AM.

I bought the above 17200 CE  for Rs. 211.55 at 09:52 AM

I made a loss of Rs. 555 in this trade.

Trade 3:

Sold BANKNIFTY MARCH 35500 STRADDLE at 10:10 AM.

SOLD BANKNIFTY MARCH 35500 CE = 616.45

SOLD BANKNIFTY MARCH 35500 PE = 521.05

Later, at 12:45 PM, my system indicated a bearish outlook, therefore I exited the BANKNIFTY MARCH 35500 PE for Rs. 581.70, resulting in a loss of 1516.

At 01:49 PM I exited the BANKNIFTY MARCH 35500 CE for Rs. 489.60 and booked profit of 3171.

I made a profit of Rs. 1615 in this trade.

Trade 4:

Sold BANKNIFTY MARCH 35400 CE for Rs. 579.15 at 12:12 PM.

I bought the above 35400 CE  for Rs. 534.00 at 01:51 PM

I made a profit of Rs. 1129 in this trade.

I lost money in two trades this morning.

I haven’t been disappointed because I stick to my system.

Later in the afternoon, the system signalled a bearish outlook, and the other two trades were profitable.

The day was profitable overall.

At the end of today trades, the total profit is Rs. 1326/-

My Old Positional Trades(Update):

Trade 1:

sold the NIFTY DEC 2022 17500 CE for Rs. 1050 and the NIFTY DEC 2022 17500 PE for Rs. 1295.

This straddle was taken about 20 days ago.

Date: 24-03-2022 (P/L)

Today, it has an MTM loss of Rs. 2550.

This trade shows MTM profit on some days and MTM loss on some days.

MTM profit/loss is not the actual P/L.

This trade has a 15155 to 19845 breakeven point. Take a look at the images below.

I don’t have to be concerned till the Nifty is trading in this range.

I don’t keep track of this trade on a daily basis. This is a long-term investment for me.

This trade, I am convinced, will yield some good returns in the following 1-2 months.
